Timothy M. Cronan’s practice is almost exclusively devoted to real estate transactions and real estate financing, including the preparation of purchase, option, easement and lease agreements, and CC&R’s for residential, commercial and industrial developments. His practice includes representing both regional and national lenders and borrowers in complex real estate finance matters, bond, construction and permanent financing, defeasances and loan opinions.
Mr. Cronan graduated from the University of California at Davis in 1975 and received his Juris Doctor degree from McGeorge School of Law in 1979. He has been practicing law at Hefner, Stark & Marois, LLP since 1980. He became a partner of the firm in 1986.
Mr. Cronan has one of the most active real estate practices in the Sacramento area, representing industrial, office/commercial, multi and single-family residential builders and developers of all sizes, as well as financial institutions, title insurance and escrow companies, sellers, buyers, investors and real estate brokers.
In addition to his real estate law practice, Mr. Cronan has served our community on a wide variety of boards and committees, including General Counsel and Member of the Board of Directors of the North State Building Industry Association; Founding Member and Member of the Board of Directors of Christmas in April, Sacramento; Member of the Board of Directors, Vice President of Government Affairs, Vice President of Membership and President of the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce; Member of the Board of Directors, McClellan Air Force Base Logstar Committee; Member of the Board of Directors of Sacramento Area Commerce & Trade Organization; Member of the Board of Directors and Cellar Master of the International Wine & Food Society - Sacramento/San Joaquin; Founding Member, Member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Friends of Harvard Golf.
