  Tim Taron Pic Timothy D. Taron




Timothy D. Taron’s practice focuses on complex land use matters, including major infrastructure financing projects, formation of Mello-Roos districts, general plans, specific plans, zoning law matters and development agreements.  Mr. Taron has counseled individuals and companies in a broad range of matters concerning land use and zoning compliance at all levels of government.

Mr. Taron attended Stanford University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with Distinction and was elected to membership in Phi Beta Kappa.  He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1976.  During law school, he was an Associate Editor of the UCLA – Alaska Law Review.  Since 1976, Mr. Taron has been practicing law at Hefner, Stark & Marois, LLP.  He became a partner of the firm in 1982.

In addition to his law practice, Mr. Taron has served as General Counsel, Member of the Board of Directors, Vice President of Government Affairs and President of the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce; Board of Directors, Vice President and President of Family Service Agency; Board of Directors, Vice President and President of the Crocker Art Museum; Member of Mercy San Juan Medical Center Community Council; Member of the Board of Directors and Member of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee (chair), and Audit Committee of Consolidated Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: CNSL).
