Michael Williams’ practice focuses on the areas of business and real estate litigation. Mr. Williams has counseled individuals and companies in a broad range of matters and cases involving breach of contract, construction defects, commercial lease disputes, mechanic’s liens, public works projects, collections, and consumer debt collection practices.
Mr. Williams received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Pepperdine University in 1993, and obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of California at Davis in 1996. Mr. Williams has been practicing law at Hefner, Stark & Marois since 1996. He became a partner of the firm in 2006.
Since 1996, Mr. Williams has handled numerous business and real estate matters as well as disputes involving commercial and residential projects of varying sizes, public works construction projects, and federal and state regulated fair debt collection practices. Mr. Williams is licensed to practice in the state of California, as well as the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Central, Northern and Southern Districts of California, as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
In addition to his law practice, Mr. Williams serves as Vice President and Board Member of Diogenes Youth Services, Inc., a nonprofit corporation serving at-risk youth in the Sacramento Area. He was also a member of the Active 20-30 Club No. 1.
